Each one of my etchings is a dream come true...
Etching is an artistic technique with ancestral roots, born with the first petroglyphs of Homo sapiens.
Guadalupe Gaos Ballester is the third generation of a family of Valencia,Spain origin of relevant artistic and intellectual tradition; an artist who took her first steps in etching when she was a child in Mexico City, guided by her mother and aunt, Rosa and Josefina Ballester. Her later schooling in biology allowed her to internalize the magic of nature -- flora, fauna, landscapes and seascapes, the central themes of her art.
Guadalupe has produced her etchings for more than 35 years. She has exhibited in Mexico, the USA, Canada and, since 2000, in her own gallery in Ensenada, Baja California; where her work, both classic and recent, is avidly sought by collectors from many parts of the world.
