Our History

The origin of our workshop emerges from the world recognized Ballester Etching Workshop founded by Rosa and Josefina Ballester in 1965 in Mexico City. It is the place where the family makes their own etchings and where also the famous works of outstanding etching artists like Raul Anguiano were produced.

In 1982, Rosa Ballester and her daughters, Nela and Guadalupe Gaos, moved to Ensenada, Baja California where they continued creating their etchings and giving classes in their San Miguel workshop. Since 1987 the studio-workshop has been directed by Guadalupe Gaos and it is now located in Cibola del Mar, one of the most beautiful areas of the City of Ensenada.
